Dr. Emily Smith
was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Batesville when she was in middle school. She graduated from Batesville High School in 2006. Dr. Smith attended the University of Central Arkansas and graduated with honors in 2010 with a degree in Biology. She then attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated as a Doctor of Optometry in 2014. Dr. Smith enjoys practicing in Arkansas and seeing patients of all ages. She is especially interested in specialty contact lens fittings for conditions like keratoconus and high prescriptions. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, fishing, and reading. She is married to Kevin who is an occupational therapist at Stone County Medical Center, and they have two sons. -

Dr. Chris Deitrick is a native of Stone County. He was born in the hospital here in Mountain View in 1973. He attended Mountain View School and graduated in 1991. Dr. Deitrick attended the University of Central Arkansas where he graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. In 2001, Dr. Deitrick graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
